Wishing on a 3am star!

Our little 'kernel' (Enya) of' 'light' (Lucia) has now grown from cot size to school girl size and flourishes into this little lovely lady with personality and ever more sophisticated words - who can be so profound sometimes and so funny other times or even both. I cannot skip this night time episode when in the wee hours of the morning a sleepless voice with small feet made my eyes go wide open into the darkness with a surprising statement for 3 am: Mummy I saw a shooting star, come over and have a look! I was watching the stars in the sky from my bedroom window and all of a sudden one star fell off the sky and I saw it shooting. Who would have thought all of these twinkly little dots would be watched by a 5 year old star dreamer - awake in such early hours?  How quickly I got in her bedroom is needless and irrelevant, but I remember that the next moment I was standing there all convinced there will be another one shooting that she made sure I wasn't going to miss. Mummy I made a wish when i saw the shooting star. What wish did you make? I wished to have real wings and fly up in the air! These words were guaranteed to cancel the effect of being woken up too early just to watch the night sky. The aspiration of my 5 year old is one that some of us may spend a lifetime trying to find -  embracing it all!

Ganduri pentru Enya / Thoughts for Enya

Te-am numit 'miez' (in graiul celtic), si ce bine te-am numit!

We named you ‘kernel’ (Enya=kernel in Celtic) and so well we did naming you! You are our essence, Happiness embodied of becoming your parents.

Your name is Enya, our names are your ‘Mummy’ and ‘Daddy’ since you were born on the 5th November 2010 and on your birth we were also born - as your parents and we grow as parents at the same time with you! It’s a journey dotted with butterflies, teddies, smiles, cuddles, kisses and simple but great joy, it’s a road we so much love to walk on holding hands with you while you hold our hearts in your tiny warm hands! The child in you is perfect – just as we would picture dear God’s human creation - candid, delicate and unconditionally loving; you – our little girl – made us feel we were born again when you appeared and through your big vivid eyes we look at your beautiful soul open to lots of love! Your little hands are like the wings of a cheerful butterfly and your little face - like a flower that innocently smiles to the sun! Your voice jingles like a toy-bell and when you laugh it’s as if thousands of fairies are dancing past our ears!

Your wee, soft feet like small cushions, now toddle more and more confidently and there you are little princess Enya 1 year young! And if we are to make a wish for you – that is lifelong Love and good Health and Happiness - may you always embrace life loving and being loved – just like now. Both of us feel blessed through your existence – and it’s this that we offer you – infinite love and protection, and the promise we want to make to you is to be as best parents as we can be and give you everything that we can for you to grow beautifully and be a wonderful person! And you already are a wonderful little person!

Blooming me and my creativity!

It's been more than half a year since I last blogged! However it's been an awesome half a year so far as I've enjoyed seeing my body grow with a new life! I'm enjoying to the full all this period of blooming! Creativity hasn't lessened because of less coffee I drunk, but has been expressed in other ways - more literally, shall I say! :)) Amazing feeling!
The nesting season started early this year for me and Paul, in more ways than one, transforming the last rooms left untouched in what we call the 'long-hauled kitchen and bathroom project'! Very successful indeed!
Now that's completed, we fully savour this beautiful 'nesting' feeling, knowing that our little 'bloom' is due to appear in autumn.
Summer has been on our side so far favouring a pleasant and fun holiday together with my parents here in England. I'll let the pictures do the talking.

On a Quest to find Deer on the 1st Day of the New Year

Watching wildlife has always been a favourite passtime! So on the first Sunday of 2010 it seemed like the perfect thing to do, especially as a good walk was absolutely necessary and the cloud-free sky allowed the sunshine to give back the true colour of all things moving or not! So grabbed the frozen camera and the warmest clothes we could find and went on a deer stalking mission - which was largely completed, except for the missing close up picture of a Bambi, as the Belton Park area was inaccessible from where we were, due to the unfriendly fences. However the clusters of dark coffee 'spots' on the  white cold carpet of snow looked so lovely and peaceful that all my 22 pictures turned out capture that happy contrast:

Boxing Day trip out to the seaside of Hunstanton

Christmas is a time of Love and embracing it, a time to go back to childhood days and playfulness! So on the second day of Christmas me and my dear hubby fancied doing something different and more adventurous and went for a ride to the seaside and enjoyed a good walk watching the sea and the horizon - it was such a simple pleasure to walk along the front with a cup of hot chocolate and a cup of tea  - it was the first time I saw the seaside on a winter day - let alone on second Christmas day! Surprisingly it didn't look less cheerful and vivid than the rest of the year however pleasantly peaceful! And I liked that! The sunset was just heart warming, the orange tones were so kind and rich just like the festive flavours of cinnamon orange zest and chocolate- it was nature's own way of adorning itself!

The Annual International Craft Fair , NEC Birmingham

I find it hard to believe it's only a week since I went the NEC Craft Fair! Seems ages ago!

Sadly I could barely move in there, let alone take pictures but pleased I caught a snippet of the Prima line featurig some of Donna Downey's art. All very pretty of course!

I was however surprised 7Gypsies items were faintly there, but I also felt so little in this big big place full of artistic goodies!
Not to mention the Cake Fair!
But I'd better let the
pictures speak for themselves!
