If i was to find a formula of a happy home that would be : love, warmth, cosiness, fun, colour harmony and an inviting scented freshness that would entice the guest to discover more. With this thought in mind, last night I made these scented mini cushions that I filled with lavender from our front garden bush, and I already found them a brand new home, our wardrobe. I'll openly admit the most challenging part wasn't cutting or sewing them, but coping with the intensity of the scent, however it's been a heart-warming experience, I'll certainly have a go again, perhaps experimenting with other pretty shapes.
When a child, I travelled to a timeless place that never seemed to change. I played and laughed and looked up at the sky that had a pure blue colour and then it was time to go home. Then I used to dream about the place with the purest blue sky, huddled up at the bottom of the mountain altar. I heard once upon a time there was a door at the top of the mountain where I used to play. I went to play again and again every summer, under the same blue sky that I dreamed but could never see the door. Until 2012. That's when the place with the bluest sky called me to find it. And since then I've been climbing. The mountain of rediscovering who I have been all this time and who I really am.
